Fighting for Worker Power and Dignity
Going After Corporations that Abuse Workers
Working people are under threat. At a moment when the wealthiest corporations in the world continue to bring in record profits, it’s harder and harder to make ends meet in this state. And while Colorado has some important worker protections, we also have a long way to go. Only around 7% of private sector workers in this state have the protection and benefits of a union. We can’t rely on the federal government to protect workers. Colorado needs to step up.

David will be a transformational attorney general in the fight for working people by using Colorado law to hold accountable the corporations that exploit working people by:
-
Going after corporations that “misclassify” workers by profiting off them and controlling them while denying them their lawful wages, the right to a union, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance and more.
-
Using state law in bold and creative ways to protect workers’ safety, right to a union, and freedom from discrimination at a moment when the Trump Administration has gutted the federal laws and agencies designed to protect those rights. We can triple private sector union density in Colorado by 2030.
-
Breaking up monopolies and going after fine-print contracts that keep workers trapped in jobs that don’t pay them what they deserve.
-
Fighting to improve Colorado law, including by passing the Worker Protection Act.
-
Prosecuting employers that exploit immigrant workers by retaliating against them or threatening them with ICE if they complain.
-
Holding accountable the corporations that are using AI and algorithms to spy on workers and drive down their wages.
